それはそうと、Second Life公式サイトに「日本語版、まもなく公開」と表示されて半年弱。いつになったら出るのやら…

Windowsのソフトを動かすことが出来るWineの初期設定とソフト管理ツール。現在のバージョンは 0.1pre1。まだまだ開発途上ですが、更新が止まったSidenet Wine設定ユーティリティの代わりにこんなのが出てきて嬉しい限り。動かすには本体以外にもいろいろ必要で、Downloadsをよく読む必要あり。

Fedora 7 に超最新のSubversion版をインストールしてみました。

# yum install wine-core wine-tools cabextract gnome-python2-rsvg orange
$ svn co http://www.wine-doors.org/svn/wine-doors/trunk wine-doors
# cd wine-doors
# python setup.py install

これでGNOMEメニューの「Wine」から Wine-doors をクリックして適当に入力すると、何やら自動でいろいろダウンロード・設定が行われます。終了すると Internet Explorer やフォントなど、いくつかのWindowsツールを導入できる画面が出現。少し入れてみた。



えーと、私の環境では Internet Explorer6 のインストールは成功せず、Firefoxに至ってはダウンロードすらできませんでした(Linux版あるのでどうでもいいけど)。Winampも異常に重い。それと当然ながら、Half Life 2やCall of Dutyなどの市販ゲームは製品版がないと動かない。

ちなみに、wine-doorsで設定する前から Wine を使っていた場合は、一度古い ~/.wine を消しておかないと上手く動かないようです。

0.1.1 にしたらエラーが出て動かなくなった
